Glam rocks...

Assad Mounser's jewellery is rock n roll chic with a bohemian touch. her latest collection, "Neo Conquistador", follows a phoenix rising from the ashes of a catastrophic wave of destruction to a path of redemption and rebirth, creating a new world from the rubble. The results -  explosions of colour with contrasting elements, sharp, smooth and overall - amazing!

Silent conversation....

The owner of Peony Jill Timms, the most adorable perfume store in Melbourne, believes that perfume says so much about someone and that it lingers long after they are gone. When you walk in, you feel that you're stepping into her boudoir, a secret world of highly coveted, unique and hard to find perfumes. However, it's not just her amazing fragrances that set this place apart, it's the atmosphere - reminiscent of a time when shopping was a sophisticated experience.

Making a statement...

I am not one to wear heaps of accessories with my outfits – I prefer to make a statement with a single piece – and it's this that attracted me to jewellery designer Maryam Keyhani.  Born in Iran, educated in Florence and now based in Toronto, her unique designs reflect a modern, sculptural feel with a creative use of mixed materials. Her designs make a statement without being flashy and would add a talking-point to any ensemble.

Beauty must have...

This little red tube goes with me everywhere, what is it you ask? It's Lucas' Papaw ointment. I use it to hydrate my dry lips as well as giving them a lovely glow, but it's also great to tame unruly brows. In addition, it's great to moisturise dry patches of skin, and it's less than $5 a tube!

Let there be white...

Black has always been the "new black", however there is a change in the air, with many designers at Australian Fashion week and overseas showing white as a strong trend for Spring 2011. Whether it's demure or white hot, white always allows the wearer to look brilliant. It brightens the face, the eyes, the smile. The options - layer, play with texture, fluidity, or sharp and tailored. It's universal and fresh, so try it out this Spring.
