Wicked ways...
Fetish is an emerging trend for autumn/winter '11/12 and I'm seeing images of it everywhere – particularly in fashion editorials in the major magazines. Inspired by the film 'The Night Porter' – the look is not for the faint of heart, with PVC, leather and latex all playing lead roles. To embrace a softer side of this trend, look at sheer inserts which are suggestive, a leather corset belt, sexy underwear with stockings, an amazing pair of shoes or dramatic make-up.

Melissa pops-up...
Fun and quirky – Melissa, the unique and cute Brazilian shoe label has opened a "pop-up" store in Melbourne Central. I visited the store yesterday, just to "have a look" and walked away with a pair of ballet flats called 'Wanting'. Melissa are famous for using plastic to make their shoes and for collaborating with fashion stars such as Vivienne Westwood and JeanPaul Gaultier. PS: They're also pretty cheap!

The old guard...
The original supermodels are still du jour with many fashion houses featuring them in campaigns and fashion magazines using them in editorials. Back in the 90's, when they coined the term "supermodels" – I would religiously study the top magazines for inspiration – anything from hair and make-up to the way they were styled. I wanted to live in their world, and for that moment I did. It's great to see them back on the pages of Vogue et al, still looking spectacular.

Missoni target...
I have been reading about this collaboration for a while and I'm pleased to say that it's a-maazing! The 400-piece collections spans clothing for men, women and children as well as home accessories and luggage. More and more high-end designers are collaborating with the high street, making the brand more accessible to a much broader audience. Anyone up for a trip to the US?

Good enough to eat...
To celebrate its new Kelly Picnic bag, Hermes has taken a most innovative approach to photographing the bag as foodie versions. The iconic Kelly Picnic is made out of wicker like a traditional picnic basket, but if you get peckish, would these be good enough eat?

The Karl factor...
Karl Lagerfeld is a genius and that is evident at Chanel where he has been since 1983. If you have always wanted to own a piece of him - now's your chance. He has designed a 45 piece capsule collection for department store Macy's.
The collection is priced between $50 to $170 US, and stays within Lagerfeld's design comfort zone - lots of black and white with pops of colour and some prints. There is even some self promotion of the Kaiser himself on T-shirts!
