Designer Jac Langheim is taking latex to the next level - couture! Latex is usually associated with fetish and dominatrix's but this designer is carving a niche in the high-end market. Her AW'11 collection featured corseted dresses, tops, suit pants and skirts that look futuristic but upon closer inspection, are a sophisticated take on the classics. The rubber she uses receives the "silk" treatment which leaves the rubber silky smooth and eliminates the need for a lubricant or powder dressing aid. Langheim's work is timely given that many established designers are taking inspiration from fetish - she is definitely one designer to watch.
